Department
of History, Sao Chang College began its journey since the establishment of the
college in 1973.Honours in History was introduced in 1991.It serves as a centre
of intellectual exploration and cultural understanding for the students. With
the introduction of FYUGP in 2023, The Department offers a diverse array of
courses covering a wide spectrum of historical periods and themes, from the Ancient
Civilization to the Modern World. The Department is committed to nurturing the
students with cultural awareness, historical insights, and analytical skills
which will enable students to navigate it with confidence in the future. The Department
of History looks after the Tribal Museum which is also one of the best practices
of the college. It enables the students to have access to indigenous products
like artefacts, artworks, and historical objects enriching their knowledge for
societal development, and global understanding.
