PROFILE OF POLITICAL SCIENCE DEPARTMENT
Introduction: The Department of Political Science was established in 1973 and is one of the oldest. The Department has been offering Honours course since 1992. With the introduction of CBCS and FYUGP curriculum, the Department has started to offer Generic Elective, Minor and Skill Enhancement courses.
Mission:
Impart knowledge to understand political phenomena.
Equip students for critical analysis of political processes in furtherance of intellectual quest to build knowledge, relevant for good governance.
Foster intellectual development towards responsible citizenship.
Vision:
Facilitate research on pressing problems and to contribute to the advancement of the Discipline.
Produce resourceful leadership, committed to impact good governance.
